UCHIDA-SAN’S story
Tetsuya Uchida joined Horizon Engage as Senior Advisor and Representative in Japan in 2017.
Previously, he had built a highly successful global career as an executive in major Japanese and international corporations and financial institutions. Most recently, he worked for Hitachi, Ltd. as General Manager in charge of financing overseas projects.
As Representative of Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) in London, Tetsuya Uchida was responsible for Europe and Africa, while in Moscow he served as JBIC’s Chief Representative in charge of Russia and CIS countries.
Mr. Uchida was an executive for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) as Head of the St. Petersburg office and Senior Banker in charge of Japanese investment at EBRD headquarters in London.
He also worked for Japan National Oil Corporation (JNOC) where he was responsible for financing oil and gas exploration projects.
Mr. Uchida has a bachelor’s degree in Law from Waseda University in Tokyo.
