ALEX’S story
Alex Almeida joined Horizon Engage in 2014 as a Middle East and North Africa security analyst. He specializes in Iraq, Yemen and Gulf states security and military forces. Alex has published extensively on Middle Eastern terrorism and insurgency issues for the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point and the Washington Institute for Near East Politics.
Alex received a B.A. degree in international relations and history from Georgia State University and an M.A. in military history from the Department of War Studies at King’s College London, with a thesis on South African mobile warfare doctrine.
